Description

MikroTik GPeR POE Connector is a compact and efficient device designed to extend Ethernet networks over long distances using Power over Ethernet (PoE). It allows for the extension of Ethernet cable by an additional hop, enabling connections up to 1,500 meters in total. The GPeR unit is particularly useful in high-rise buildings and multi-apartment complexes where long Ethernet cable runs might be problematic.

Key Features:

  • Ethernet Ports: 2 x 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports
  • PoE Input: 802.3af/at, 24–57 V DC
  • PoE Output: Jumper-selectable passive PoE passthrough
  • Maximum Output per Port: 2 A (with 24–30 V input), 0.7 A (with 30–57 V input)
  • Maximum Power Consumption: 2 W
  • Operating Temperature: -40°C to +70°C
  • Maximum Cable Lengths:
    • Between GPeR and power source/router: up to 100–150 m (depending on cable quality)
    • Between two GPeR units: up to 210 m (depending on cable quality)

Installation: Connect your desired network cable with power to the PoE-in Ethernet port, and extend it through PoE-out. Connect the cable to the next GPeR unit or the other device. If the destination device does not support PoE powering, the power passthrough can be disabled manually by removing both jumpers on the “PoE out” side. This will only work if “PoE in” is served by passive PoE source, as 802.3af/at switches will not be able to power the GPeR itself.
